It is also difficult to choose ideal mats for a specific car make.
Unfortunately, some sets do not fit well enough or do not meet our usage requirements. Below we will describe what rubber car mats are, and we will also compare them with our innovative EVA products. Thanks to this, you will see how good a product we offer and EVA car mats will certainly soon find a place in your car!
What are rubber car mats and where did their popularity come from?
The phenomenon of rubber car mats stems from the fact that they are relatively inexpensive to maintain and versatile. They work great in every car model and meet the expectations of most people. For many years they were even considered indestructible, because they are characterized by extraordinary resistance to mechanical damage. They work well in almost all weather conditions. It does not matter whether it is slush outside or it has snowed, mats made of rubber do not dirty the car. What is more, they are extremely resistant to various chemicals that are used in detergents for vehicle interior care. In practice, this means that their maintenance is simple and does not require too much time.
What to look out for
when choosing car mats?
If you are considering choosing new car mats and do not know which technical aspects to pay attention to, we come to the rescue. First of all, you should choose the material from which the product is made. In addition, the method of installing the car mats is also important. Some vehicle models do not have factory mountings, which is why you should choose mats with a set of stoppers. It is important that the product adheres well to the floor and does not move while driving. The finish of the mats should also not be accidental. If you care about the aesthetics of your vehicle, car mats should be matched both in colour and size to the entire interior so that they form a cohesive whole. The shape of the mats also matters a lot. Mats that are too small can easily move, and those that are too big can catch on the pedals. Therefore, this is dangerous for the health and life of all passengers.
What are the types of rubber car mats?
First of all, car mats are divided into two types: tray products and standard ones. How do they differ? Tray car mats additionally have raised edges, which are designed to block the spilling of water brought into the vehicle interior. Driving the car is then safe, and getting rid of excess accumulated water is very simple. Just carefully remove the mat from the vehicle interior and pour out the liquid. Currently, tray mats equipped with modern finishes are appearing on the market, which makes them even more versatile. Car mats made of rubber in the standard version have a specific pattern that eliminates the movement of water or mud gathered inside the vehicle, preventing possible staining of the original carpet.

How do EVA mats differ from traditional rubber mats?
There are many similarities as well as differences that on the one hand unite and on the other hand divide traditional rubber mats from EVA products. Let's take a closer look at their common features.
First of all, both rubber mats and EVA mats do not absorb water. Their special construction therefore prevents leaking not only on rainy days, but also on snowy days.
What is more, both products work sensationally as floor protection against every kind of dirt. This happens because the material from which they are produced does not let any dirt and liquids through. However, rubber car mats do not cover the floor completely. They protect the vehicle's carpet by about 70–90% against dirt.
EVA mats are made to measure, which means they provide protection for the maximum possible surface area of the floor. This is up to 99% carpet coverage! In addition, EVA mats are odourless and non-toxic. Traditional rubber mats have an unpleasant smell and contain toxic substances in their composition. Dirt moves across them because it is not absorbed into the material.
In EVA mats, impurities are trapped in technological cells. They are also much lighter and, consequently, easier to pull out of the car. They also do not require special cleaning.

EVAMATS Car Mats – FAQ FAQ
Will the car mats definitely fit?
Of course they will. We manufacture car mats individually for a given car model, taking into account the make, model, generation, year of manufacture, gearbox and specific equipment. We process the mats by hand, meaning we cut them by hand, edge them and profile them manually. Our designs are based exclusively on physical measurements taken from actual cars, so there is no question of any imperfections. The mats cover the entire floor, taking into account small details and covering areas that rubber or velour car mats can only dream of.
What do you clean them with?
Thanks to their technology, dirt that accumulates on the mat is not absorbed and does not stick to it, so you just need to shake the mats out and everything comes off smoothly, or in the case of heavy mud, the mats can easily be washed with a pressure washer and you are good to go.
A mat for the tunnel? What is that?
Evamats car mats cover up to 98% of the floor, so we take care of every detail, meaning the rear tunnel is also covered so the floor is always clean
How long will they last?
EVA material is known for its durability and abrasion resistance. It is also used in gyms (as mats under machinery) and in shoes (soles). Compared to alternatives, EVA car mats cope phenomenally with the problem of wear, allowing them to be used for 5-7 years without signs of use.
Classic and 3D, what is the difference?
In both sets we try to cover the car floor to the maximum extent, only in the 3D set do we also cover the side trim by the floor and there are more 3D elements (floor contours) which we include and apply during the production of such mats, making them fit perfectly.
What is Eva material?
It is a foam with a thickness of 10mm and a cell depth of 7mm, which easily keeps dirt and water in one place without the possibility of them getting under the mat until you shake it out.
Are EVA car mats for summer or winter?
EVA car mats are all-season. As practical to use in winter (they are waterproof, easy to clean and cover up to 98% of the floor) as in summer (they are odourless, pleasant to the touch, do not deform under the influence of temperature)
What is the turnaround time?
From the moment an order is placed, it takes roughly about 2 weeks, due to the fact that car mats are made on an ongoing basis to customer order. In the case where you have a very unique car or another vehicle (motorboat, helicopter, excavator or tractor) the delivery time may extend up to 4-6 weeks.
What is the delivery method?
We send car mats by courier directly to the customer's specified address. We do not send car mats to parcel lockers due to the dimensions of the product. We want to ensure that the car mats are delivered in the form in which they were made and not subjected to folding or creasing, which could affect their future fit.
Exact colour reproduction is an art, not an exact science.
We make every effort to show the colours of our materials accurately. However, several technical and environmental factors can affect how a shade appears:
Screen settings.
Every phone, tablet and monitor displays colour differently depending on its technology, brightness, contrast and colour temperature. For example, OLED screens often show colours more vividly than LCD screens.
Lighting and surroundings.
A colour may look different under natural and artificial light, and at different light intensities. A shade can appear lighter in daylight than under indoor lighting.
Material texture.
The EVA material used for our mats has a distinctive texture and relief. This can create optical effects that make the colour look different depending on the viewing angle.
Every mat is made with close attention to detail and quality. If you are unsure which shade to choose, contact us and we will be happy to help.
